Optimal Storage Conditions for LiFePO4 Batteries

If you need to store your LiFePO4 battery for an extended period, follow these guidelines to maintain its health:

  • Charge to 50%-60% Before Storage: A partial charge reduces stress on the cells during inactivity.
  • Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Ideal storage temperature is between 10°C–25°C (50°F–77°F). Avoid humid or extremely cold environments.
  • Check Voltage Every 3-6 Months: If the voltage drops significantly, recharge to 50% to prevent deep discharge.
  • Avoid Long-Term Full Discharge: Storing a fully drained LiFePO4 battery can lead to irreversible capacity loss.

Proper storage ensures your battery remains in top condition when you’re ready to use it again.
