How to Test Whether a Lead-acid Battery Has Sufficient Capacity?

  4. Connect the Load Tester or Multimeter: Connect the load tester or multimeter to the battery terminals. The positive (red) lead should be connected to the positive terminal of the battery, and the negative (black) lead should be connected to the negative terminal.
