Preparing Lead-Acid Batteries for Long-Term Storage

1.Fully Charge Before Storage: To prevent sulfation, ensure the battery is fully charged before placing it in storage. Discharged batteries are more susceptible to damage during long-term storage.

2.Regular Charging: For lead-acid batteries stored over three months, recharge them every two to six months to maintain charge and prevent capacity loss. Ideally, check the charge level every two months.

3.Store Upright: Place the batteries in an upright position to avoid electrolyte leakage, which can damage both the battery and its surrounding environment. Always inspect the battery before storing to ensure there are no leaks.
